he's mine?!?!

do you ever have those moments where you feel like the same old you you've always been, but you look at your life and wonder how the heck you got here??? i had one of those the other day and just couldn't believe that i was a mom - me, geeky immature little lyndsey! beckam came out from his nap the other day, and i was just overwhelmed with the most excited, proud, happy feeling. i just felt sooo lucky and soooo incredibly blessed to call him mine and to be his mom!

i love this little man so so soooooo much, and he's done waking up in the middle of the night for 2 hours at a time, so i'm ready to tell you about how awesome and amazing he is!

he is the BEST big brother in the whole wide world! not one single thing changed for him when maddie was born except he had someone to play and snuggle and laugh and wrestle with, and he was in love just like we were. maddox is a handful sometimes, and beckam is so patient with him. he lets mads crawl all over him. he holds his hand while we walk. he sits by him in the car and makes him laugh when he's upset. he reads him books and races with him and is ALWAYS so excited when maddox wakes up in the morning or from a nap. he truly loves his little bro to pieces and, and i just love him for that!

he is also hilarious! dust claims that beckam gets that from him, and i won't argue with him. he talks jibberish and comes up with the funniest faces and sounds and songs. he is developing quite the imagination, and i love listening to him play with his friends or drive his car in my closet or just lay on the couch with his blanket. some of our favorite sayings lately.....

"dad, i gotta take a duke!"
"what the...."
"there's a freaking ant on the table!"

beckam also loves to learn. we're doing this little animal abc book thing, and he can tell you all about an alligator, bubble fish, and cheetah so far, and he just soaks up everything we try to teach him. he also memorized his first primary talk a few weeks ago, and it was the cutest thing e.v.e.r! he's such a smart little stud!

he is also the most loving little boy ever. he tells me over and over again every day how much he loves me, and he does the same with dust and maddie. he will grab my face and say "mom, i love you so much." it's pretty much priceless. he loves to snuggle up after naps and loves to cuddle and read books together, and nothing beats a hug and a kiss from beckam at the end of a long day :) he is so quick to forgive and has the biggest little heart, and i just can't get enough of him!

he is my sidekick all day every day, and i wouldn't have it any other way! he makes me smile and laugh. he makes me use my imagination. he drives me crazy at times, but he makes me a better person and teaches me so much every day. i treasure every day i get to be beckam's mom, and i'm so thankful that i was entrusted with his sweet little spirit. he's so special, and i just can't get over the fact that he's mine! love you magoo :)
