mads has been working on crawling for a month or so now, rocking back and forth on his hands and knees and then just rolling to the destination of his choice when that doesn't work. it's pretty cute even though i'm happy that he hasn't quite figured it out yet!
we were playing with beckam back in his room the other day, and we heard whining from the living room, so we went to check it out and found this. haha i just can't figure out how he managed it, and he was pretty proud of his accomplishment!
mads is now sleeping 11 hours or so at night and loves eating any and everything! he has the most contagious smile and is a pretty happy boy when he isn't working on adding to his 2 bottom teeth that he's had since he was 4 1/2 months. he's such a people person and loves watching his brother play. he eats best for mom but loves dad to put him to sleep. we all think he looks like my brother, and he definitely has a different look than becks. also different than his older brother, he was just ounces off the 20lbs mark at 6 months and is beating beck's 10th percentile mark by a long shot! he's a tall, solid little man, but he's such a cuddly little monkey, and we just love every roll and smile to pieces!
here are a few pics from valentine's day. i've decided that i want to make holidays special in our house, so we left some hearts and a valentine on both boys' beds, and then we made pink heart pancakes this year!
beckam also got a new caillou book, and that along with the basketball chocolates were a hit! mads was just excited about something new to chew on :)
dust had to do a little price is right/minute to win it obstacle course to get his vday treats this year, and he totally killed the toilet paper challenge!
now for an update on the cutest 2 year old around! beckam is such a funny little man, and i just can't get over how fast he's growing up!
if you're not sure where beckam is, you can almost always bet on him ballin it up in his room or hiding somewhere waiting for you to find him. he LOVES hide n seek but hasn't quite figured out how to change up the hiding spot yet!
we got him a new hat the other day, and he's in love! he had to wear it to the hot tub the other day, and what goes better with the morning diaper time than a new hat and rain boots!
he's talking so much and always makes me laugh with his imagination and the things he comes up with. he's crazy attached to his mom and his house and his blanket and his many friends, and we love it! he's still scared of the snow and freaked out at the sight of a tiny black bug crawling on his table the other day, so we'll see how he does with the lizards and ginormous spiders and cockroaches waiting for us on statia! haha he's finally figured out the napping thing now that's he's over 2 years old, and he thought about potty training but decided he wasn't ready yet sadly. hopefully soon! anyway, there's a little update for y'all - enjoy!
