this world is such a beautiful place, and we are so blessed to see these beautiful sights as we look out our front door while we're eating dinner every night. i'm so thankful for beautiful sunsets!!!

now....things that i don't love so much about this beautiful place. don't get my wrong, i love it here, but i do not love sharing here with these guys! i know that geckos/lizards (still don't really know which are which) are good creatures that eat bugs and are totally harmless, but they're just kinda creepy ya know?!?! there are some pretty looking ones, but i think they're kinda creepy ugly little guys for the most part.

this little guy was chillin on our front porch the other night. i think hermit crabs are pretty cool, but i think they're super cool in a tank at the zoo or an aquarium! haha

it's rainy season here which isn't so good for my jumpy arachnophobic bug hating self. this ginormous slug on the wall has been the least of my problems, but it's still gross!

this, on the other hand, is the death of me! dust got this guy while i stood on the couch doing the typical girlish cover your mouth to hold the screams and profanities in kinda thing - not cool!!!! i personally have now killed 2 guys at least this size since while dust enjoys the air conditioned student life, and it was not an easy feat!

i've decided that i have a serious case of arachnophobia, and i'm working on figuring out how to get into predator mode and just kill the ugly sons of guns, but i still find myself perched up on a chair of some sort with bug spray in one hand with goosebumps all over my body with the shakes terrified of these creepy crawly creatures! i can handle the little ones, but i still cannot handle the big ones. it's just part of living here, but it's not my favorite part, that's for sure!

i couldn't end a post with that ugly picture! so, here are a few from our latest beach trip on tuesday :) all packed up and ready to go!

can't get enough of my boys!!! love these boys more than words can say!

I could definitely deal with those gorgeous scenes out my window (those are amazing!) but I'm with you on those bugs and lizards etc, those would be the death of me. Give it time though you'll be picking them up with your fingers in no time ;) haha. Good Luck either way!

good for you for holding in the profanities - those are some BIG spiders!

Okay, this was a very good post because it helped me minimize my extreem coveting. I'd love to see those sights and have a beach out my window and have FHE be at the ocean. BUT - I do not want to face those crawly things. Eww. Spiders are just gross. I am much better at dealing with them than I used to be, but I don't think I'd want to take on one that big!
