the simple things

my friend has this amazing blog with a weekly event called simple things sunday. people from all over the world post a simple picture from their past week to celebrate the simple things in life with their fellow bloggers. she's doing a giveaway this week, and it's inspired me to finally join in her little simple things sunday party :)

here is my simple things picture. there isn't a lot of chicken on this tiny little statia island, and if you are lucky enough to run into some at one of the little grocery stores, you never know if it will be good or if it's spent the day sitting on a truck out in the blazing sun before making it to the freezer section. thankfully, there is chicken day saturdays where these people ship in chicken from st. maarten and grill it up and sell it. mmmmmmm! never thought i'd be so thankful and so excited about chicken!
