a little catch up…..

time for a little catch up cuz i'm dying to blog about a little surprise involving this girl!!!!! lace has been here for just over 1 week, but i gotta catch up before i get into our fun adventures together…..

first up - we tried maddox in a big boy bed. he's been in a playpen since we got here, and he does great, but he'll be in a bed when we move home, and i thought we'd try to help him get used to that. he's so used to confined sleeping space that it was a bit overwhelming at first, but he did eventually fall asleep with his head against 1 pillow and his feet against another. sadly…. it didn't last. he kept waking up and coming out, and we were just too tired, so it was fun while it lasted and we'll try again in a few months!

uh oh! love this cute little mischievous face :) guess the clothespin keeping the rice krispies closed wasn't strong enough!

beckam's favorite thing to bake with mom is sugar cookies, hands down. sadly, we didn't bring any cookie cutters, and i just haven't been able to bring myself to spend $8 on 3 little heart cutters at duggins, so we've had a sugar cookie break. thanks to a brilliant suggestion from hannah though, these wonderful scrumptious morsels have made their way back into our lives. who needs cookie cutters when you have beach toys!!! mmmmmm!
