once upon a time (or since the beginning of time with kids), we've experienced our fair share of rough nights. waking up at the butt crack of dawn was the least of our problems a few months ago though when both boys were up all night long crying or screaming about something or other, and we had no answers, and nothing seemed to work, and we were exhausted :(
my dad offered some advice and then made an offer that we couldn't refuse. he offered to have a sleepover with the boys - in his bed, and the only rule was that we weren't allowed to interfere at all! marvelous!!!!

the boys were SO excited, and they were captivated by grandpa's story telling, and they were so pumped to snuggle up in grandpa's bed for the whole night! they did great (besides a little kicking and thrashing around), and we learned a lot about simplifying their nighttime needs, and we got a full night's sleep and had some extra patience to boot! it was pretty awesome, and today, it earns grandpa hill the best grandpa award!!!
