not sure if you know this about me or not, but july 1st is one of my most favorite days of the whole year :) it's not only my birthday but raymond's and canada's as well, so it makes for some pretty fun times and good memories. being in statia this year made things a little different, but i told dust that i have a limit for how many july 1st's i can miss, and it's 2, and this is my 2nd, so we'll be there next year with bells on! it was still a super fun and awesome birthday weekend though…….
dust arranged for some of the girls to surprise me, and we had a delicious dinner at papaya. love my statia girls :)
then, i woke up to the smell of breakfast burritos and this clever little birthday menu. my husband is the best!!!!
there were also 4 posters hung around the living room with picture of july 1st activities and times we were supposed to attend them. hahahahaha LOVED it! the parade was awesome this year!
the unforgettable rodeo complete with pony races, bull riding, barrel racing, and steer wrestling!
family softball tourney :) we killed the heggies this year!
and finally……the grand finale fireworks show! oooo……aaaaaa!
dust is so creative, and i love my bday decorations and the delicious food he made for me, and my family is just the best! not only that, but my friend meg gave me a WATERMELON!!!!!!! oh my heavenly day, literally! it was sooooo good :)
and…..it rained! a perfect ending to this hot and pregnant 30 year old's statia bday :)
i missed my raymond traditions and family so sooooo much, but my 3 boys spoiled me rotten, and i have the most amazing friends here, and it was a very happy and memorable birthday weekend :) yay!

Tell your hubby that an internet stranger (me) was SO impressed with all of his birthday "stuff" he did for you. The posters were by far the coolest thing.
