beckam got asked to recite a scripture for the moroni's quest fireside out here, and he was all for it. he's memorized a few talks for primary and seems to have quite the good little memory, so we started working on helaman 5:12.
holy hannah, that is a long and hard scripture! i wasn't sure he'd remember it all or that he'd be able to perform it in front of a full house on d-day, but he was amazing!!!! seriously, i could have peed my pants cuz i was so nervous, but he just kept asking when it was his turn, and he marched right up to the pulpit and did it perfectly! he didn't get all embarrassed or stumble, and he said it so slow and just did amazing! i was soooooo proud and so in love with my little nephite! doesn't get much cuter than this people!

That's wonderful news.
Second, you know that I was holding back the "ugly cry" when your little Nephite recited that scripture. I was amazed. He does have a remarkable memory, AND lack of fear in humungous crowds!
