may the odds be ever in your favor!

i just had the bestest weekend, and it's all thanks to 2 generous husbands who allowed their 2 crazy wives to hop a plane and hang out in st. maarten all in the name of hunger games!!!!

here is the little coupon dust and eric made and had served to us at dinner a few weeks ago (best and cutest surprise ever!), and here are cara and i at the airport ready for our little weekend away :)

the view of st. maarten from the airplane, and my mad wooing skills to get us the cheapest rental car possible - at $57 for one day!!!! haha

seriously though…..that was the cheapest deal we could find.

i used to be a 2 cheeseburger meal mcdonald's person, but i can't remember the last time i got anything more than mcflurry there in recent years. statia does something to a person though…….and i was all over their greasy burger and fries!!!! i've never been so excited to see those golden arches!

this fantasia, and she pretty much made our trip. she not only held tickets for us to make sure they didn't sell out, but she bought them for us!!! haha not sure why, but we were fast friends, and we left with this picture and hugs and her email address and phone number :) love you fantasia!

not sure if you've seen the movie yet, but wow - it was a good one! we both wanted it to start playing again when it ended, and the popcorn didn't hurt the whole movie experience either! so fun!

on saturday, we slept in (with our leaky a/c and on our creaky bed at the amazing royal turtle inn!) and had breakfast on the pier and then headed off to shop…..

and eat some more - at hard rock cafe on the boardwalk this time, and oh my goodness - it was heaven in my mouth!!!!! like honestly, the restaurants back home better watch out when i get home!

then, we took a little dip in the amazingly perfect aqua blue water and walked in the white sand and enjoyed the beautiful st. maarten!

last stop - cost u less!!!! food again, i know, but when duggins is your only option for groceries, cost u less is a beautiful place! i saved a bundle and got a few easter treats too and had a blast for real grocery shopping :) we stopped for ice cream on our way to the airport, and then we were home to our boys and excited to see them again!

it was a pretty amazing weekend, and me and cara had so much fun together :) so, if you ever get a chance to hit up a #1 movie on opening night in st. maarten, we say do it up!

oh and while i was gone……painting a picture turned into painting each other with dad! haha enjoyed the weekend away but missed these little munchkins :)
