it may not feel as much like christmas around here with all of the sunshine and beach time, but the statia christmas party this last weekend was lots of fun, and some santa time made it seem more real :)
we thought it would be opposite of this with our mama's boy beckam resisting some santa love and our rough and tumble social butterful maddox livin it up, but beckam was so excited to get a present and meet santa while maddox took one look at that white beard and was done and done! haha
not only santa made an appearance at our little party. no, dora and boots and diego and blue and swiper and bob the builder came too - why not! haha they put on a little national friendship day program (cuz christmas and national friendship day normally celebrated in august go hand in hand i guess!), and beckam was in LOVE! he was so genuinely excited and kept clapping and yelling at swiper....."swiper, no swiping!!!" it was really cute!
it was a party of all parties complete with mardi gras masks and santa hats and kids willing to kill for the candy canes thrown out! we danced and clapped and gave dora and hug and sat on santa's lap and ate candy and played with friends and had a caribbean christmas blast :) ho ho ho from statia!
